AOPA to Keep X Account Active in Response to Member Feedback

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) announced a change of course on Tuesday, deciding to maintain its active presence on the X social media network. This decision follows substantial feedback received directly from AOPA’s membership regarding their desire for continued engagement with the platform. Initially, AOPA had planned to discontinue use of X following concerns about content moderation policies. However, after careful consideration of member input, leadership determined that retaining an account was the appropriate action. Representatives stated they would continue monitoring discussions and responding to inquiries within the existing framework.
