American Airlines is set to launch its inaugural nonstop service between Philadelphia and Vienna, Austria, utilizing the Airbus A321XLR aircraft. This new route represents a significant expansion of American's transatlantic network and marks the introduction of the world’s longest scheduled passenger flight operated by this particular aircraft type. The Philadelphia-Vienna flights are slated to cover a distance of approximately 6,400 miles and will take roughly 9.5 hours without accounting for potential headwinds.
