American Airlines announced today that it is suspending flights to twenty-eight long-haul airports across several continents. These affected destinations include locations throughout Europe, such as London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The airline also ceased operations at numerous Asian hubs like Tokyo Narita and Hong Kong International Airport. Furthermore, American Airlines halted service to key Middle Eastern cities including Dubai International and Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Finally, the suspension extends to significant South American locations encompassing São Paulo Guarulhos and Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez.
