Airbus kicks off wing facility extension in Belfast

Airbus has initiated construction on a significant expansion of its Belfast wing facility, encompassing an area of 6,221 square meters. This project is directly linked to Airbus’s strategy to increase A220 production levels. The multi-million-pound investment represents a substantial commitment to the site's capabilities and future growth. Completion of the extension is anticipated within the initial six months of 2028. This expansion will substantially broaden Airbus’s footprint for wing manufacturing operations in Belfast.
