Airbus hikes A321neo wing-production capacity ahead of XLR design convergence

Airbus is increasing its production capacity for the A321neo wings at its Broughton, UK facility to support its ambitions for a ramp-up in single-aisle aircraft output. The airframer is transforming the former Airbus A380 wing factory into a dedicated line specifically designed for manufacturing these twinjets. Six new jigs will be installed within the plant as part of this expansion project. This move directly precedes the anticipated convergence of design elements related to the upcoming A321 XLR variant.
