Airbus Helicopters’ Racer demonstrator speeds through nap-of-the-earth testing

Airbus Helicopters' high-speed Racer demonstrator recently completed a series of flights focused on showcasing its performance in demanding operational conditions. These trials, conducted early this month, utilized tactical sorties originating from the Cazaux test centre located in southern France. Military pilots participated directly in these low-level assessment activities, evaluating the helicopter’s capabilities at near ground level. The purpose of the fresh flight series was to demonstrate the Racer’s ability to operate effectively during challenging scenarios. Data gathered by the pilots will contribute to ongoing refinements and improvements for the aircraft’s design.
