Airbus Helicopters delivers first Standard 2 NH90 for French army special forces use

Airbus Helicopters recently delivered the initial Standard 2 version of the NH90 transport helicopter to the French army’s special operations force. The handover occurred from the Airbus Helicopters site in Marignane, France, a key location within the NHI consortium. This specific variant has been engineered with enhancements designed for demanding operational environments and challenging missions. The French DGA procurement agency received this inaugural aircraft as part of an order for eighteen new helicopters tailored for specialized use by the nation's forces. These improvements will significantly bolster the capabilities of the French army’s special forces units.
