Airbus delivers first NH90 Standard 2 to France

Airbus Helicopters recently delivered the inaugural NH90 Standard 2 helicopter to France’s Armament General Directorate (DGA). This delivery signifies the commencement of operations for the special operations variant, a derivative of the existing NH90 Tactical Transport Helicopter (TTH). The French government has committed to acquiring a total of eighteen NH90 Standard 2 helicopters. All deliveries are projected to conclude by mid-2029, representing a significant investment in this capability. These aircraft will be operated by unspecified units within the French military.
