AerCap, AFI KLM E&M form LEAP engine venture

AerCap Holdings and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) have formed a new 50:50 joint venture focused on leasing CFM LEAP spare engines. This agreement was initially detailed in a memorandum of understanding finalized at the 2025 Paris Air Show. The venture will cater to airlines globally operating aircraft powered by LEAP-1B and LEAP-1C engines, ensuring availability for these modern jet types. Regulatory approvals are pending before the joint operation can commence its full activities. Ultimately, this collaboration aims to provide enhanced support services related to CFM’s newest engine technology.
